26. Yes, the Grizzlies will also not be making the playoffs
27. Kawhi Leonard will win his third Defensive Player of the Year in a row
Upon winning this award for the third time, it will essentially lock Leonard into the Basketball Hall of Fame (which seems odd to say, doesn’t it?). A third DPOY would tie Dwight Howard and only trail the great Ben Wallace and Dikembe Mutombo. Either way, he’d have the hardware to argue that he’s the greatest wing defender in the history of the NBA.
Whether you think that’s crazy or not, Kawhi is far and away the best defender we have in the league today. He’s an absolute treat to watch night in and night out as he disrupts the minds of offensive players. He brainwashes opponents with his defense to the same degree that Mugatu brainwashed Derek Zoolander… RELAX!
28. The Utah Jazz will win 50 or more games
It’s clear that the Jazz are just about everybody’s sleeper team this season, but they shouldn’t be. They’re one of the deepest teams in the league, added great veteran leadership, and have a barrel of young talent to withdraw from. Jazz fans will pray that a 50 win season will be enough to bring Gordon Hayward back.
29. Anthony Davis plays less than 65 games
30. DeMarcus Cousins will be traded
The popular trend right now is that Cousins won’t be traded and the Kings will likely create a package that includes Rudy Gay for another team at some point this season. In my opinion we’re going to see the same old Sacramento Kings. The only way they can get out of this hole is by hitting the eject button on Cousins and hope a team such as Boston or Philadelphia takes the bait.
