2015 NBA Mock Draft

Pick #19 – Washington Wizards

Jerian Grant – Guard – Notre Dame

Reason: The Wizards have a nice nucleus with John Wall, Bradley Beal, and an emerging Otto Porter. Selecting Grant would strengthen their bench with a great backup for either guard spot. It’s hard not to take Grant, considering the injuries that Wall and Beal have faced throughout their short careers.

Pick #20 – Toronto Raptors

Kevon Looney – Big – UCLA

Reason: Looney brings needed frontcourt help that allows for lineup flexibility and offensive versatility. Looney offers the ideal game for a big in today’s game because of his ability to shoot the basketball.

Pick #21 – Dallas Mavericks

Delon Wright – Guard – Utah

Reason: With Rajon Rondo on his way to who knows where, the Mavericks are still in need of a point guard. They have been since Jason Kidd’s retirement. Delon Wright offers big time size and potential as a scorer.

Pick #22 – Chicago Bulls

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson – Wing – Arizona

Reason: Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is a perect fit for Chicago’s hard working, defensive mentality. He desperately needs to find an offensive role in this league, but is a major addition for Chicago’s wings.

Pick #23 – Portland Trail Blazers

Rashad Vaughn – Guard – UNLV

Reason: Sharpshooting Wesley Matthews and Arron Affalo are heading to free agency. Vaughn shows potential as a pure scorer with great size for his position. He can become a feared NBA shooter once his career is off and rolling. Maybe a little early for some, but if they’re drafting by need it makes sense for the Trail Blazers.

Reason: Upshaw is the best rim protector in the draft. He is a big that can come in to Portland and contribute immediately.

Pick #24 – Cleveland Cavaliers

Montrezl Harrell – Big – Louisville

Reason: Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, Kendrick Perkins, and Shawn Marion are going to be free agents. Cleveland likely can’t resign Love and Thompson, let alone all of them. Drafting Harrell gives you a freakishly long, offensive glass eater. He plays with a tremendous motor every game and would likely take off into a different stratosphere with the energy he’d play with next to LeBron James.
